Frozen French Fry Exports Continue to Rise as Company Expands Global Footprint

December 28,2023
  • Driven by the rapid growth of the downstream potato processing sector, China’s frozen potato exports have maintained steady momentum. Our production facility in Anqiu, Weifang (Shandong Province) has an annual capacity of 20,000 metric tons of frozen French fries. Since officially entering the export market last year, our export volume has increased by 50% year-on-year.

In recent years, reduced potato supply in Europe and North America, coupled with rising energy costs, has led to higher production expenses in those regions. Against this backdrop, Chinese frozen French fries have gained increasing recognition in international markets, supported by advanced processing technology and consistently reliable quality. Our products meet stringent global standards in taste, quality, and food safety.

  • This year, orders from existing clients have grown significantly, while new partnerships have been established in markets such as Singapore and Australia. Current orders are booked through April of next year. The length uniformity and overall product quality meet the highest domestic industry standards.

To further strengthen competitiveness, we continue to scale up production, invest in advanced equipment, and implement standardized manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and consistency. At the same time, we are optimizing our export portfolio, expanding beyond traditional European and North American markets into Southeast Asia and Oceania to better serve a diversified global customer base.

  • We remain committed to R&D and rigorous quality management, maintaining strict control across the entire supply chain—from raw material sourcing and processing to logistics and export—ensuring safe, high-quality frozen French fries for customers worldwide. Looking ahead, we will further increase R&D investment, refine our product portfolio, and enhance value-added offerings to reinforce our position in international markets.

  • As a key agricultural processing hub, Weifang benefits from abundant potato cultivation resources and a well-established industrial supply chain, providing strong operational support. According to official statistics, in the first eleven months of this year, Weifang’s frozen French fry exports reached RMB 98.88 million, up 75.5% year-on-year, covering 14 countries and regions including Thailand and Malaysia. This performance underscores both the region’s growing competitiveness and the expanding global influence of China’s frozen potato industry.
